Whalehead Club and Currituck Beach Lighthouse The Whalehead Club is a restored mansion built as a Hunt Club in the 1920's, located on Currituck Sound. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the club hosts the Currituck Wildlife Museum and Wildlife Commission Interpretive Center. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse is the only lighthouse in North Carolina that is the original structure. (Estimated travel time: 1 hour) |
