Dare County Master Gardener Arboretum and Nags Head Woods. The Arboretum features a variety of plants suitable for coastal habitats. Nags Head Woods is owned and maintained by the Nature Conservancy and is one of the most biologically rich maritime forests on the Atlantic Coast. More than 300 species of plants have been identified and 50 species of birds nest here. There are walking trails of various lengths, ranging from ¼ mile (15 minutes) to 2 miles (1 - 1.5 hours). -Approximate capacity, 28 people.
