The Agenda

Come early (Tuesday, June 10) and enjoy one of our "Early-Bird" events. If Golf is your game, enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the links at Goose Creek Golf Course with your buddies or make new friends. Enjoy the beach on your own and plan to attend the Lost Colony performance that evening ($14/adult, $8/child 11 and under). All meals are on your own for Tuesday.

The registration and information desk will be open from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

The NCACAA Board will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10.

Wednesday (June 11) morning will feature professional improvement tours beginning at 7:30 a.m. A breakfast buffet will be served from 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Choose from the eight tours available.

"Spouses, Retired Agents/Life Members and youth are all invited to participate in the professional development tours and the retired agent/life members tours. Please feel welcome to come along for these educational opportunities"

IMPORTANT NOTICE: After Friday, May 23, 2003, anyone signing up for tours will still have to pay the $5.00 fee for each tour AND arrange to drive themselves because all vans and buses are filled and committed

We will arrive back at the hotel by 1:00 p.m for our opening luncheon.

There will be an afternoon softball tournament beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Dare County Family Recreation Park on Mustian Street in Kill Devil Hills. A cookout will be held around 6:00 p.m. during a break from the softball games. The cookout will be at the ballfield and will feature "Down East" seafood, chicken, hotdogs, and hamburgers. Whenever you are ready to leave, you can go back to the hotel where the hospitality room will be open from 9:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Thursday morning will feature a recognition breakfast from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. Following the breakfast, we have three professional development sessions: Bob McRacken will present "Effective Teaching Methods for County Agricultural Agents"; Walker Rayburn will present "'Ouch!' - What Ag Agents Should Know About Mosquitoes, West Nile Virus, and other Mosquito Borne Diseases"; and Lanny Hass will present "What's It Going to Take . . . To Be Great? Exploration On What Drives Excellence in Organizations". Everyone will attend each session beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding by noon.

Following lunch, we will have the general business session.

The banquet begins at 6:30 p.m. where we will recognize our outstanding agents with the Distinguished Service, Achievement, Young Agents Scholarships and Service to Agriculture Awards. Then we can all sit back and enjoy our guest speaker, Mr. Tim Danelly.
