 Hatteras Light House

Hatteras Lighthouse and Chicamacomico Life Saving Station. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was recently moved to protect it from the sea. It is the tallest brick structure on the American coast at 208 feet high. There is a visitor center and museum on site. It should be open for climbing. One of seven life saving stations along the outer banks, Chicamacomico has a history of daring rescues. Exhibits and interpretive tours. (Estimated travel time - 1 hour and 15 minutes.) -Approximate capacity, 40 people.
