We are pleased to announce "A Summit on the Future of ANR/CRD Extension Programs in North Carolina" to be held June 25-27 at the Gateway Convention Center, Rocky Mount, NC. The program will enable extension workers to be involved in both independent and collective thinking about future directions for ANR/CRD programs, including urban horticulture and other community oriented programs. The Deans, Director and Administrator of NC Cooperative Extension are fully supportive of this effort.
The planning team of agents and specialists has received input from various colleagues and leaders in our organization to develop an exciting and engaging program. This program is being supported by private contributions and Extension administration at NC A &T SU and NCSU. We plan to cover the per diem costs of the meeting for those extension workers who participate.
This program will be the first step in a multi-step process to develop a roadmap for ANR/CRD programs for the next 10 years. We will:

This retreat is the result of cooperative efforts of CEMPS 07, 03, 04,14, 15, and 17.
