Public Relations Committee is charged with improving the public image of Cooperative Extension and the County Agent. Perhaps this committee can work more closely with Extension's Change Management and Marketing effort to promote a positive image and recognition of Extension among all North Carolina citizens.
The Public Relations Committee also administers the PRIDE program (Public Relations in Daily Efforts). North Carolina did have an entry for that recognition this year. We encourage all agents to consider applying for this recognition.
The Public Relations Committee at the national level is also in charge of the First-Timers (formerly Squanto) program. If you are a first-time attendee at this year's NACAA AM/PIC, no matter how long you have been in Extension, please take advantage of the opportunities provided for you, including the First-Timers luncheon.
