Youth Scholarship Selection Criteria

1. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually. High school seniors or college students may apply. College students must submit proof of completing one successful semester of coursework along with their application to be eligible. Once awarded, winning applicants must supply their college financial office's mailing information and a head-shot picture. These scholarships will be mailed to their college of attendance by the Extension Foundation.
2. Recipient must be a child, grandchild or legal child of a NCACAA member or Life Member in good standing with three or more years of NCACAA membership.
3. Recipient can be of any major with preference given to agriculture, extension education, 4-H and youth, family and consumer science, and other sciences.
4. Recipient can attend any 2 or 4 year college or university in or out of North Carolina.
5. Selection committee will use other information on the scholarship application if needed to select recipient. Examples: leadership activities, community service, grade average, narrative of field of study, etc.
6. A recipient can receive the scholarship only one time.
7. Applications and documents must be submitted one-sided without staples or paperclips. If emailing, please submit as one continuous document (one attachment) and type NCACAA Youth Scholarship Application in the subject line.
